Getting the App
Your Budgets is distributed through the Apple App Store. Search for Your Budgets by Lutarea on your iPhone or iPad, or open the store link from TestFlight if you are in a beta program.
The App requires iOS 17.0 or later and runs on iPhone and iPad. The optional Apple Watch companion requires watchOS 10.0 or later. Widgets and complications use App Group group.com.lutarea.yourbudget.
Common topics
- Your data on device — the live budget database (SwiftData) is stored locally. Turn on Settings → iCloud sync to sync across your Apple devices via CloudKit (
iCloud.com.lutarea.yourbudget). To move data manually, use Settings → Backup & data → Export and import on another device. - Lutarea BACKUPS — JSON exports save to iCloud Drive → Lutarea BACKUPS → Your Budgets Backups when iCloud is available, or to a folder you choose. This is separate from CloudKit sync. Attachment photos may be stored in a companion
*-attachments.zipnext to the JSON file. - Multi-currency — amounts are stored in their native currency. Display conversion uses cached rates from Frankfurter and CoinGecko; refresh rates in Settings if totals look stale.
- Year planner — plan income and expenses per month; recurring lines can copy to future months; mark items paid with a checkbox; open a month from the 12-month grid.
- Bank import — import CSV from supported banks (Mono, Privat, Revolut, Wise, generic) under More → Bank import; review duplicates before confirming.
- Receipt photos — attach images to expenses; optional AES-GCM encryption under Settings → Privacy & Security → Encrypt receipt attachments.
- App lock — optional passcode and Face ID / Touch ID under Settings → Privacy & Security.
- Widgets — small, medium, and large home screen widgets show balance and category summaries. Tapping opens deep links (
yourbudget://) to add an expense, reports, budgets, or the planner. - Live Activities — optional Lock Screen / Dynamic Island summary; enable under Settings → Notifications.
- Apple Watch — month balance and quick-add; queued expenses sync to iPhone when the phone App processes the queue. Complications show balance from the shared snapshot.
- Siri Shortcuts — add phrases like "Add expense in Your Budgets" or ask for net balance this month.
- Language — nine interface languages (English, Ukrainian, German, Italian, Russian, Slovak, Spanish, French, Czech) via in-app Settings or iOS language preferences.
- After an app update — your data stays on the device; updates do not intentionally erase it. If data looks missing after toggling iCloud sync, check that you are signed into the same Apple ID on all devices. Export backups regularly before major updates.
Reporting a problem
When you email support, please include your iOS (or watchOS) version, App version (from the App Store or TestFlight), and steps to reproduce the issue. Screenshots help. For import, sync, or backup issues, mention whether CloudKit sync and Lutarea BACKUPS are enabled and which device you used.
We do not provide professional tax, legal, or investment advice. You are responsible for the accuracy of your budget entries and for protecting exported backup files.
