Getting the App

Your Gadgets is distributed through the Apple App Store. Search for Your Gadgets by Lutarea on your iPhone or iPad, or open the store link from TestFlight if you are in a beta program.

The App requires iOS 17.0 or later and runs on iPhone and iPad. Bundle identifier: com.lutarea.yourgadgets.

Common topics

  • Offline-first inventory — gadgets are stored on your device with SwiftData. There is no Lutarea account and no CloudKit sync of the live database. To move data to another device, export a JSON backup from Settings and import it on the other device.
  • Catalog — pick a category, fill type-specific specs, purchase and warranty fields, and ownership status (including lent or sold context).
  • Photos and receipts — add device photos and receipt images. Free plan allows up to 3 photos per gadget.
  • Serial scanner — optional VisionKit camera scan for barcodes or text; grant Camera permission when prompted.
  • Care hub — maintenance tasks with due dates; swipe Done or snooze +7 days; local notifications for care and warranty (enable Notifications in iOS Settings if reminders do not appear).
  • Value estimate — portfolio total and depreciation are personal estimates based on purchase price, date, and category defaults — not insurance or market appraisals.
  • iCloud backup (optional) — Settings → Data: export to Files → Lutarea BACKUPS → Your Gadgets Backups (container iCloud.com.lutarea.backups). Import replaces the local inventory after confirmation. Requires iCloud; Lutarea does not receive the backup contents. CSV export is also available.
  • App lock — optional Face ID / device passcode gate in Settings. Unlock uses Apple Local Authentication on device.
  • Free limits — Free plan can create up to 30 gadgets, 3 photos per gadget, and limited care tasks / links. Existing items above a limit remain editable; creating new ones is blocked until you free space. No in-app purchases in the current Free-only release.
  • Themes and language — system / light / dark / Electric Blue themes; nine interface languages or follow the system language. Currency display can be chosen in Settings.
  • Reset — delete gadgets in the App, or uninstall to remove local storage. Exported JSON/CSV files remain files you manage yourself.

Reporting a problem

When you email support, please include your iOS version, App version (from the App Store or TestFlight), and steps to reproduce the issue. Screenshots help. For backup import issues, note the filename and whether iCloud Drive was available.

We do not provide warranty claims, insurance valuation, or repair advice for your devices. Reminder delivery depends on iOS notification settings and power-saving modes.
