These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the mobile application Your Slovak (the "App"), developed and operated by Lutarea ("we", "us", or "our"). The App is distributed for Apple platforms (iPhone and iPad) and is listed under the marketing name Your Slovak.
By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. The App and eligibility
Your Slovak is a language-learning app for Slovak: a built-in A1–B2 course, flashcards with spaced repetition, grammar reference material, and everyday phrases. You must be able to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction and meet any minimum age required by Apple and applicable law to use the App.
2. Learning content and no guarantee of results
The App ships with educational material prepared by Lutarea. We work to keep that material accurate, but language learning depends on your own practice: we do not guarantee any particular level, exam result, residency outcome, or official recognition. The App is not a substitute for a certified course, an accredited examination, or professional legal or immigration advice.
The course content is licensed to you for personal study inside the App only. You may not extract, redistribute, republish, or resell lessons, exercises, word lists, audio, or grammar material.
3. Apple App Store
If you obtain the App through the Apple App Store, your use is also subject to Apple's applicable terms and rules, including the Apple Media Services Terms and the App Store Guidelines. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content, maintenance, or support, except as required by Apple's policies.
4. License
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to install and use the App on Apple devices you own or control, in accordance with the usage rules of the store from which you obtained the App.
- You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, or reverse engineer the App except where mandatory law allows.
- You may not use the App in any way that violates applicable law or infringes third-party rights.
5. Your content and conduct
You are responsible for the information you create in the App, including your own vocabulary cards and notes. You represent that you have the rights necessary to store that content on your devices.
6. Backup, import, and export
The App may let you export your learning progress as JSON backup files and import backups you choose (merge or replace). Backups cover your progress and your own cards, not the built-in course. Optional backups may use the shared Lutarea iCloud Drive container (Lutarea BACKUPS / Your Slovak Backups), separate from any CloudKit database sync.
7. Changes to the App and Terms
We may update the App or these Terms from time to time, including adding, revising, or removing course material. Material changes to the Terms will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date on this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms where permitted by law.
8. Disclaimer
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lutarea is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill arising from your use of the App.
