These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the mobile application Your Travels (the "App"), developed and operated by Lutarea ("we", "us", or "our"). The App is distributed for Apple platforms (iPhone, iPad, and optional Apple Watch companion) and is listed on the Apple App Store under the marketing name Your Travels.
By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. The App and eligibility
Your Travels is a personal travel catalog: a world map of visited countries, saved places, trips with optional budgets and route maps, a wishlist, achievements, optional photo attachments, JSON backup and import (visited countries and places only), GeoJSON place export, optional iCloud sync via CloudKit across your Apple devices, optional trip sharing as a read-only CloudKit snapshot, home screen widgets, Live Activity during trips, and an optional Apple Watch companion for quick capture. You must be able to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction and meet any minimum age required by Apple and applicable law.
2. Apple App Store
If you obtain the App through the Apple App Store, your use is also subject to Apple's applicable terms and rules, including the Apple Media Services Terms and the App Store Guidelines. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content, maintenance, or support, except as required by Apple's policies.
3. License
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to install and use the App on Apple devices you own or control, in accordance with the usage rules of the store from which you obtained the App.
- You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, or reverse engineer the App except where mandatory law allows.
- You may not use the App in any way that violates applicable law or infringes third-party rights.
4. Your content and conduct
You are responsible for the countries, places, trips, photos, notes, and other content you create or import. You represent that you have the rights necessary to store and process that content on your devices and, where applicable, in your iCloud account.
Optional features may access Apple frameworks you approve (precise location when in use for adding a place or Watch quick-add, photo library or camera for attachments, optional photo-library discovery when enabled, notifications for trip and wishlist reminders, iCloud and CloudKit for sync and backups, CloudKit Sharing when you share a trip). The App may fetch public exchange rates from the National Bank of Ukraine when you set trip dates for multi-currency budgets. Optional app lock uses on-device passcode and biometrics. Widget, Watch, Live Activity, Spotlight, and Shortcuts features use on-device summaries as described in our Privacy Policy.
5. iCloud, backups, and sync
CloudKit sync uses container iCloud.com.lutarea.yourtravel under your Apple ID. User JSON backups use the separate shared container iCloud.com.lutarea.backups (folder Lutarea BACKUPS / Your Travels Backups) or a folder you choose. JSON backup files cover visited countries and places only; they are not a full export of all App data. You are responsible for maintaining backups appropriate to your needs and for verifying import results. Apple's iCloud availability, storage limits, and terms apply.
6. Trip sharing
Shared trips are read-only snapshots, not collaborative editing. You are responsible for whom you invite and for the accuracy of shared content. Recipients import at their own discretion.
7. Maps and third-party data
Map visuals may include data from third parties (for example Natural Earth) with attributions shown in the App. We do not guarantee map accuracy for navigation, border, or legal purposes.
8. Changes to the App and Terms
We may update the App or these Terms. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
9. Disclaimer
The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant uninterrupted service, error-free sync, or freedom from data loss. You are responsible for your own backups and for travel decisions; the App is not professional travel, immigration, or safety advice.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lutarea and its contributors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the App. Our aggregate liability will not exceed the greater of (a) amounts you paid us for the App in the twelve months before the claim or (b) zero if the App is free.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted.
11. Termination
You may stop using the App by uninstalling it. We may cease providing the App where required by law or if you materially breach these Terms.
12. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by applicable law without regard to conflict-of-law principles, subject to non-waivable consumer rights in your country of residence.
